An unrelated company uses a billing descriptor similar to our business name. It typically appears on a card or bank statement as one of the following:

The charge is typically 39.95 per month in the cardholder's local currency. That company operates an online subscription service unrelated to ours. Its customer service number may appear in the transaction descriptor.
Why your bank may display our name
Some banking applications automatically substitute a recognizable business name for a cryptic billing descriptor. Because the descriptor resembles “eTop Technology,” some applications may incorrectly display our name. eTop Technology, Inc. has no affiliation with the company that placed the charge.
What to do
Contact your bank or card issuer, report the charge as one you do not recognize, and ask them for any additional details. The issuer can identify the actual merchant through that process. You might say:
“There is a charge on my statement described as E TOP INC for [amount] on [date] that I do not recognize. Can you identify the merchant.”
