Our Story
Built for the Inland Empire
We started eTop in Redlands more than twelve years ago because mid-size businesses in the IE were stuck choosing between two trade-offs: the personal attention of a one-person shop, or the scale of a national chain. We thought a business should be able to have both — a team big enough to do the work right, close enough to know your name.
So we built the thing we wished existed. Fifteen-plus years of network engineering, cybersecurity, and identity-management experience went into a playbook that says: get the fundamentals right, automate the repeatable work, and put humans on the parts that need humans. That's it. There's no secret sauce — just discipline, and a refusal to ship something we wouldn't run on our own network.
We also limit the number of clients we take on. Not because we can't grow — we can, and we are — but because the second you start chasing logo count over outcomes, the wheels come off. We'd rather know your environment, your people, and your business goals well enough to give you advice on a Tuesday morning without pulling up a wiki.
How We Run IT
Do It Right So the Story Tells Itself
A lot of what we do isn't visible. That's the point. Backups that actually restore. Patches that go in on time. Identity policies that catch the bad login before anyone notices. When the work is done right, the only story is "things just work." That's exactly the story we want.
The strategy side is where you'll hear from us. We treat every client relationship like a Bank of Trust — every quick fix, every honest "we don't know yet, give us 24 hours," every quarterly review where we tell you what's coming six months out, that's a deposit. The withdrawals — the bad day when the email server is acting up at 4:55 PM on a Friday — happen. Trust banks let you weather them. That's how we want to work with the businesses we partner with.
One more thing: we draw a clear line between the digital side (where we live) and the physical side (where the equipment vendor lives). When a printer dies — and printers always die — we coordinate, we don't pretend to be the manufacturer. Knowing who owns what saves everyone time, and time is what you're actually paying us for.

We're at 611 W. Redlands Blvd., Suite G in Redlands, CA — not a P.O. box, not a "satellite office," an actual building you can walk into. We've watched Redlands and the broader IE turn from a quiet stretch of citrus and warehouses into one of the fastest-growing business regions in California, and we've been here the whole time.
Most of our work is across the Inland Empire — Riverside, San Bernardino, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Corona, Fontana, Upland, Claremont, Loma Linda, and a few more we keep adding to the list. We also serve well-fit clients deeper into Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside counties when the relationship is right. If your office is close enough that we'd recognize the lunch spots, we probably cover it. If it's a little further, ask anyway — distance is a logistics question, not a deal-breaker.
